Today we visited the Accademia and Uffizi Galleries. Unfortunately we were unable to take any pictures in the galleries. At the Accademia we saw the work of Michelangelo including the famous "David". His work was breath taking, is so amazing how he started with a block of marble and finished with such a masterpiece. They told us that the statue was moved inside due to the quality of the stone it was carved inand was concerned with weather damage.
At the Uffizi we saw paintings by Botticelli which included the "Birth of Venus" and "Spring". We also saw paintings by Leonardo DeVinci, Michelangelo and Ruben. They were absolutely beautiful!
